Michael van Gerwen is successfully through his first test of the German Darts Championship seeing off Jose Justicia in a 6-3 win to reach the final day in Hildesheim with a 104 average.
Van Gerwen was in a real battle to start the tie as Justicia overturned a 3-1 deficit to break and make it 3-3.
But this was snatched away straight away as MVG hit a 180 and a 13 darter on double 12 to break back and make it 4-3.
He held from there and hit a 72 checkout with Justicia only waiting on 74 to hold and head towards taking it the distance but in the end, it was no problem for the Premier League forerunner.
While Dave Chisnall is also through to the final day after snatching a deciding leg victory over home hero, Gabriel Clemens who is the latest German to head out.
It was a 93 average with three 180's in the end for the St Helens ace who saw Clemens come back from 4-2 down to send it the distance.
He never relinquished control though and with Clemens sat on 95 for the match, Chisnall took out double 18 to move through.
