In a packed Saturday night of action at the
German Darts Championship,
Jose de Sousa and
Michael Smith are already into the final day in Hildesheim.
De Sousa started the session off and produced a flourish to see off Kim Huybrechts 6-5 in a superb display from 'The Special One'.
He produced finishes of 90 followed by a 115 checkout which saw De Sousa in his usual way going an unorthodox route with Bull-T15-D10 to seal it in a decider.
While Smith survived a comeback from Devon Petersen to dump out the defending champion who will not join the list of back-to-back winners in Germany.
For 'Bully Boy', he will look to cement his own aspirations after the disappointment of the UK Open as Petersen came from 4-0 down to ask questions of the St Helens ace. But he sealed it 6-4 with a hold and a break to claim victory on double 10.
