Van Gerwen confident ahead of Price clash in Liverpool: "I feel hungry now and I want to win more"

Michael van Gerwen will head into a clash with Gerwyn Price at tonight's Premier League leg in Liverpool with both players looking for an important win for two different reasons.
Van Gerwen saw off Price in the final of the UK Open and for the latter he will be hoping to exact revenge on the World Number One after he spurned his lead on Sunday.
While Mighty Mike who has not been imperious in the Premier League will hope to return to winning ways after losing out to Michael Smith last week and he is confident of doing so.
"When Gerwyn is on his game, he's a phenomenal player," said Van Gerwen. "He's going to win more tournaments in the future - it was my turn on Sunday.
"I had to work hard at the weekend and it gives me great confidence. I'm in good form and I want to continue this now. I feel hungry now and I want to win more."

- As prize money increases each year and there are now more tournaments then logically breaking the £2 million barrier is going to happen, only thing preventing it is the now deeper strength in depth of the darting field. If you took Taylor’s best two consecutive years and substituted the prize money from now onto the tournaments he won he would have passed the £2 million.Mysstree26-11-2024
