The scene is set at the Austrian Darts Championship with the final set to be the best in Austria in Mensur Suljovic against the best in the world, Michael van Gerwen in what is bound to be a scintillating tie.

Van Gerwen overcame a brilliant display from Peter Wright who saved his best darts for this tie and averaged 103 to MVG's 95.
This included 10 180's from Wright as the match went the distance in Vienna. It is once again Mighty Mike though that gets the better of Snakebite to reach another European Tour final.
MVG took the initiative early going 2-1 up with an 84 checkout only for Wright to get it to 2-2 with a 12 darter. This theme of back and forth took place for most of the tie.
Until Van Gerwen took the upperhand at 6-5 but Wright who like alluded to went into double figures for 180's sent it all the way.
MVG at deciding legs though despite his run being ended is still a fearsome proposition and it was this time. The trebles finally dried up for Wright until the end of the leg and by that point Van Gerwen was on double 12 for the win and he made no mistake claiming the win.
