The standings have been updated atop Premier League Darts after Night 11 in Brighton which was won by Gerwyn Price who doesn't take top spot despite now holding the most weekly titles.
Some saw Van Gerwen finishing top being a foregone conclusion but the five point gap initially there has been cut to just two points meaning the race to the play-offs is firmly on.
Behind them though is a near 10 point gap. Michael Smith and Jonny Clayton sit on 18 and 17 points respectively behind the 29 and 27 of MVG and Price and are the current top four.
Nathan Aspinall sits fifth two points behind, while Chris Dobey and Dimitri van den Bergh are further adrift. Peter Wright is only two points behind Van den Bergh though after another good showing albeit it is unlikely he will now get near play-off contention.
