Van Gerwen in confident mood ahead of Players Championship Finals title tilt: "I want to move on, I want to win more tournaments"

Michael van Gerwen fell in the Quarter-Finals of the Grand Slam of Darts but will look to return to winning ways when it matters most just before the PDC World Darts Championship.

Van Gerwen will aim for a seventh Players Championship Finals crown and his first since 2020 which was the title that broke a mini drought for Mighty Mike and after the Grand Slam, he is in a confident mood of returning to the winners' circle.

“I had to dig deep most of the time but that’s good,” said Van Gerwen.

“Everyone knows the last few years have been tough for me, but the most important thing is how you battle back and I’ve done that well this year.

“I want to move on, I want to win more tournaments, and the only way you can do that is by working hard and keeping competing.”
