Richard Veenstra will make his debut on the European Tour with the Hungarian Darts Trophy in the coming weeks set to include 'Flyers'.
The Hungarian Darts Trophy coincides with tournaments seven through twelve of the Challenge Tour though. "But I did not hesitate for a moment, I absolutely want to make my debut on the Euro Tour in Hungary. Hopefully it will be a great experience in a packed hall, just like during the last European Football Championship in Budapest, when there was also a full stadium." said Veenstra to Darts Actueel.
Veenstra is currently seventh in the Challenge Tour standings. "That is certainly another goal this year. I am also quite high on the WDF ranking and would like to participate in the Masters and the World Championship. But I still give priority to the PDC, with the ultimate goal of a Tour Card."
Q-School
Although 'Flyers' is also realistic. "I have already participated in Q-School a few times. It is really very difficult to win a Tour Card there, the level is very high and sometimes you also need a bit of luck. But I do believe that it is possible ."
