Richard Veenstra recently played in the first tournaments of the European
Challenge Tour and was exceptional at times putting himself in a good position.
"I especially liked being able to finally get back into action", Veenstra said to Darts Actueel. "It actually went pretty well right away, I achieved an average of well over 90 during most tournaments. The second day was certainly a real success with a final and semi-final. As a result, I am now also high up (seventh) in the European Challenge Tour, which gives me the opportunity to maybe play at one of the upcoming PDC Pro Tours."
Euro Tour
Veenstra also qualified for a Euro Tour for the first time in his career, more specifically the Hungarian Darts Trophy, which will be completed at the beginning of September. "That makes me very happy, of course. My most difficult match was in the quarter-finals against the Canadian Matt Campbell, whom I narrowly beat 5-4. In the final the German Lucas Wenig also played well, but luckily I was able to finish the job," Flyers concludes.
