Venue for World Grand Prix announced; no return to Ireland in 2024 yet

The World Grand Prix will be held again in Leicester in 2024. The Mattioli Arena will host the unique double-in double-out tournament from Oct. 7 to 13.

The venue in Leicester has been the venue for the World Grand Prix since 2021. From 2001 to 2019, the event was finished in Dublin, Ireland, but since COVID-19 in 2020, that changed. Initially the Citywest was home to a COVID-19 hospital, but is now used to house refugees. After that, the PDC has not yet managed to find a new suitable venue in Ireland.

In 2023, the World Grand Prix was won by Luke Humphries. Hewon his first major title at this tournament by defeating Gerwyn Price in the final. Ticket sales for the World Grand Prix will begin in May. PDC TV subscribers will be on hand on Monday, May 13. A day later, people who signed up for pre-registration can get tickets. General sales start on Wednesday, May 15.
