VIDEO: Highlights final session of Baltic Sea Darts Open with nine-darter and surprise winner

Sunday night saw the denouement of the Baltic Sea Darts Open with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final taking place consecutively. The PDC has incorporated the highlights of these matches into a video summarizing the matches played.

Luke Humphries emerged as a tease for the Dutch during the final session. The reigning world champion won over Michael van Gerwen in the quarterfinals, before also beating Danny Noppert in the semifinals.

Rob Cross survived one matchdart in his quarterfinal against Ritchie Edhouse before falling 7-4 to Madars Razma to secure a spot in the final. Razma had stunted earlier in the tournament against Dave Chisnall, Joe Cullen and Ryan Searle, but thus could not reward himself with a final place.

The final became a high-stakes match between two Englishmen. Humphries threw an average of 104.38, compared to 105.56 for Cross. The latter even saw Humphries throw a nine darter and take a 5-3 lead into the final. However, thanks to a fabulous comeback, Cross still walked away with the title.
