The final session of the German Darts Grand Prix on Monday night was full of the quality darts we've come to expect from the European Tour.
Michael Smith opened the session with a 6-4 win after surviving a late comeback from Keane Barry. Whilst Danny Noppert was undone 6-3 in the quarter-final stage by Damon Heta.
Nathan Aspinall then brought an end to Andrew Gilding's time in Munich courtesy of a 6-4 victory before Joe Cullen became the last man through to the semi-finals by knocking out the number one seed Luke Humphries.
After two nail biting semi-finals it was Michael Smith and Nathan Aspinall, who was making his first Euro Tour final appearance, that battled it out for the title. It was Smith who took the win and claimed his first ranking title since the world championship.
