Luke Littler saw Peter Wright throw an 80 finish via two tops Thursday night and no doubt must have thought then that he could do better during the 16th round of play in the Premier League Darts in Sheffield.
In the third leg, Wright managed to take a 2-1 lead by throwing out 80 via double 20 twice. Littler then made it 2-2 with a 13-darter and then was on 120 in the fifth leg after four innings.
The usual route then is Shanghai 20, or triple 20, single 20 and double 20. 'The Nuke,' however, decided to prove that he could also throw a nice dart into the tops. With three well-aimed darts into the double 20, he pinned the open bed thrice.

The 17-year-old teenage sensation is not the first player to throw a 120 finish in this manner at a television tournament. Jose de Sousa pulled off the same feat at the 2021 Premier League Darts, which caused great consternation for commentator Wayne Mardle.
Littler finally managed to win 6-4 over Peter Wright after his 120 finish, securing him the first spot in the Premier League Darts for good. 'The Nuke' did lose in his second match 6-5 to later week winner Michael Smith.
