Michael van Gerwen enjoying time away from darts
This week, the European and UK Q-School are taking place in Kalkar and Milton Keynes respectively. Players there are chasing a PDC Tour Card for the next two years. The PDC elite are not competing, of course, as they are enjoying a well-earned break after the PDC World Darts Championship.
Rest is relative for some players, though. Michael van Gerwen recently appeared at the Tegendraads music festival at the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch.
“Mighty Mike” went all out there with well-known DJs such as Fantasm and Klofama, as you can see in the footage below.
It had already become clear last summer that Van Gerwen enjoys a proper party. He attended the Belgian dance festival Tomorrowland and met DJ Paul Kalkbrenner.

World Series of Darts next on the schedule

From next week, the 36-year-old Dutchman will switch his focus fully back to darts. Van Gerwen is set to play the Bahrain Darts Masters from January 15, the first event of the 2026 World Series of Darts.
The following week he will also compete at the Saudi Arabia Masters. Van Gerwen won last season’s World Series of Darts Finals on home soil by defeating Luke Littler 11-7 in the final.
