VIDEO | Michael van Gerwen plays saxophone at exhibition: ''I'm never going to do it again''

Michael van Gerwen was in Cologne last weekend for a darts exhibition, which further included Luke Humphries, Michael Smith, Steve Beaton, Stephen Bunting and Gerwyn Price.
Van Gerwen wasn't just there to play some matches. The three-time world champion was also asked to play a bit on a saxophone on the stage.
In the podcast Darts Draait Door, Van Gerwen looked back on his musical talent. ''What was the plan?'' co-host Vincent van der Voort asked his good friend. ''Nothing at all,'' Van Gerwen responded. ''He asked if I could. Because if you just blow on a saxophone normally then no sound comes out of it. Really, that's really hard.''
''So actually what you did was very handsome,'' presenter Damian Vlottes interjected to the Dutchman. ''No not at all. I'm never going to do it again either. I'm cured right away,'' Van Gerwen laughed.

- Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. - It is shocking and unbelievable that 2 Hotty who was always such a decent player, 2 time World Champion and won the Grand Slam when it meant something. He really should have joined the PDC earlier. It is quite pathetic and desperate the way Bunting and Arsepinall pander to the crowd to dance to their walk on music, that has worked though. I would like to see more players involved on a weekly basis similar to the Modus Super Series. A knockout tournament with 16 winners from each week.
