In the run-up to the resumption of the Premier League Darts on April 19, Dartsnews looks back on how each player has started the tournament. This time the attention turns to Peter Wright.
The former World Champion as ever has had contrasting results in the darting roadshow which has previously seen him reach the play-offs only twice in his seven previous appearances.
The tinkering with darts hasn't helped with his consistency either with Wright admitting he has used four different sets of darts despite saying that he is no longer looking for the desired perfect set.
Wright started the competition with a point against Jonny Clayton. The Ferret was the better player, but the Scot saved himself with a 100 percent checkout percentage.
A total off-day led to a 7-2 loss against Michael van Gerwen, but a day later Wright recorded a fine 7-4 victory over Gary Anderson.
The fourth night resulted in a draw against Dimitri van den Bergh even though Wright was the lesser player.
His match against Rob Cross saw him show fighting spirit as he came from 5-3 down to claim the victory and it shows the true inconsistency at times for 'Snakebite' who will hope for a more clean cut set of results next week.
