VIDEO: Strange quirks of James Wade provoke hilarity from opponent during Flanders Darts Trophy

James Wade was active last weekend at the 2025 Flanders Darts Trophy, on the European Tour. 'The Machine' reached the semifinals there, before he lost out 7-5 to eventual runner-up Josh Rock.

Wade has already had a successful year. He reached the final of both the UK Open and the World Matchplay, but each time Luke Littler was too strong for him. Wade also won a Players Championship this year.

So at the age of 42, he is proving that his rise song "I'm still standing" is absolutely no lie. Moreover, in the world rankings, Wade has climbed back up to fifth place.

Last weekend, Wade was close to another title. Only in the semifinals of the Flanders Darts Trophy he was stopped by Josh Rock. It was a particularly exciting match and also one in which it once again proved that Wade is not shy about pulling out some tricks to slow the match down. For example, at one point he kicked around wildly and then took ample time to wipe his glasses. Opponent Rock, however, was able to laugh about it.
