James Wade and Keegan Brown got embroiled in a tie-break thriller on the opening night of the World Matchplay with 'The Machine' coming through in a 12-10 win.
Wade spoke afterwards and admitted that he should have concluded it in normal time after Brown came from 4-0 down but he paid tribute to his opponent in coming back.
“It should have been over and done with a lot quicker. But, Keegan showed some brass balls there to be fair. He played well at times when I didn’t need him to," said Wade post-match to
Online Darts.
“My experience got me a little bit excited and I made it a long haul, but I don’t fear anyone.”
