Two of the biggest names involved this afternoon at the 2022
European Darts Open were
James Wade and
Joe Cullen and both lived up to their billing by easing through to the Last 16 in Leverkusen.
Wade made no mistake in seeing off Berry van Peer averaging 102, hitting two 180's and 60% on his doubles en route to a superb win for 'The Machine' who continues his form as of late.
While for Van Peer, he hit four 180's but averaged only 91 overall with only one chance at the double which he took in his solitary leg.
For Cullen, he was facing best friend, Devon Petersen but didn't allow himself to get embroiled easing through 6-1 with a 96 average and two `180's.
He broke to begin the tie and that started a break away for 'The Rockstar' who breezed into a 5-0 lead from there. Petersen broke back but only at 5-1 and with 'The African Warrior' waiting on 74, Cullen sealed the deal on double eight after priorly missing 44 for the match.
