𝙒𝘼𝘿𝙀 𝙒𝙄𝙉𝙎 It's a comprehensive whitewash victory for James Wade over a below par Callan Rydz to close out the action on Day Four!
James Wade is successfully through to the Third Round of the PDC World Darts Championship after seeing off Callan Rydz in a straight sets victory to round off Day Four at the Alexandra Palace.
Wade who is an outside bet for many to finally lift the title in January was in his usual form against an out of sorts Rydz hitting a 93 average with three 180's and 47% on the doubles.
He was leaving Rydz behind to start their tie as 'The Machine' breezed through the opening set without reply with 'The Riot' yet to get going.
Rydz did get going in the second set but in typical Wade fashion, when the Bedlington ace missed three darts for the set, Wade was back for a 100 checkout with double 10 last dart in hand sealing it.
In the third set with Rydz way back, Wade opened up a two leg lead and was one away from moving through.
A potential lifeline was offered with Rydz pinning double five after Wade couldn't take care of the 100 checkout once more.
But once again on his own throw, Rydz was well back and Wade took out 56 on double 20 to conclude the victory.
Dirk van Duijvenbode (92.57) 3-2 (92.7) Bradley Brooks (R1) (0-3, 1-3, 3-1, 3-0, 3-0)
