Luke Littler took the win on Night 14 of the 2024
Premier League Darts season. 'The Nuke' was too strong for Rob Cross in the final in Aberdeen, 6-4.
For Littler, it is the second weekly title in a row and already his fourth weekly title this year in Premier League Darts. "I'm just delighted to get over the line again and book my place at The O2," reflected Littler afterwards. "That was my aim coming into the Premier League, so to have achieved that with two weeks to spare is a great achievement."
It wasn't all rosy for Littler in Aberdeen however. After his quarterfinal win against Nathan Aspinall, he reacted strongly towards the crowd, which had been regularly booing him. "It's just what any player does. If they're whistling and we win, we tell them to be quiet," he put the incident into perspective. "Whatever happens, happens. I just have to rake it on the chin."
"I think I've definitely settled myself into the Premier League; the first few weeks were 'okay' and since then I've learned the routine and won four nights," he added in conversation with the PDC. "I'll still be aiming to win the next two nights coming up, and now I can play with freedom. After those nights my focus will be on London."
