Mark Webster as a fellow Welshman was overjoyed to see his compatriot,
Jonny Clayton win through to the Premier League play-offs in his showdown with Dimitri van den Bergh.
Webster believes he is a deserved part of the play-offs and that based on records, he will have the confidence to defeat Michael van Gerwen.
"I'm so pleased for him because I feared for him. He had a little wobble the last 48 hours but that was some display by the pair of them but things have been going wrong for Jonny the past few nights. Everything came together there. Showed how good he is and he deserves to be in the last four of the Premier League," said Webster on Sky Sports.
"He'll fancy it against Michael van Gerwen, he's beat him more times than he's beat him this year and he won't worry about that. He's the more relaxed player out of the four for me. Really unfortunate for Dimitri but great performance from Jonny."
"Performance wise, he's been brilliant and he's just been very unlucky but I think the right man won the game tonight and it's the right man going into the top four."
"You sometimes question debutants, but these two (Clayton and Van den Bergh) well and truly deserve their spot. We've got two in the semi-finals and we could have two debutants in the final."
