Jonny Clayton booked his place in the Premier League play-offs and a showdown with league leader Michael van Gerwen this evening in Milton Keynes.
Clayton was last game on against Dimitri van den Bergh and got the point he needed before cementing a full haul.
He discussed fate being on his side as well as his tie against Peter Wright and how that changed his perspective going into the Van den Bergh tie.
"I'm over the moon, that's where I wanted to be. It's a dream, if I'd had finished 10th, I'd have come out there and played my best like I always say if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. I hope it's meant to be," said Clayton post match.
"I needed a draw and once that seven comes up, it's massive. I'd done my job when I'd hit 7 so massive moment."
"Personally I felt at 5-2 up, you don't lose them games. I was gutted last night and it just makes it harder for tonight. I've done my job tonight and that's all that counts, it's a happy moment."
