Gerwyn Price recorded a convincing victory in Group D over Nathan Rafferty at the
Grand Slam of Darts to conclude a double win for the two Welsh kingpins alongside
Jonny Clayton.
'The Iceman' missed six darts on double 20 in the first two legs, but then took a solid 4-0 lead with a 15-darter and a 12-darter. Rafferty showed a flourish with a 167 finish, but could not prevent Price from winning 5-1 with a 15-darter.

He recorded a finishing percentage of just 15 per cent (2/13). He took a 2-0 lead early in the match, but missed a chance on double 13 to make it 3-1.
Then there was a miss on tops in the fifth leg, before Van Peer failed to hit as many as four darts on the doubles in the sixth leg. Also in the sixth leg, Van Peer had one chance, but missed tops for a 154 finish. Then it was Clayton who managed to finish 100 for victory.
