Simon Whitlock is well known for keeping his form up or recapturing this through playing in local opens especially in the Hampshire area where he is based.
This was the case once more this past weekend as Whitlock who did not play in Graz at the Austrian Darts Open won the Basingstoke Open.

Paul Hogan, another prolific Open winner in the final with a 7-4 win. He defeated James Betts in the semi-finals 6-0.
