Darts Orakel, a platform that deals with all kinds of data and statistics about this great sport, has taken a look at bullseye hitting within the PDC.
Of all players who threw at least 100 darts at the bullseye during a PDC TV event or in a match broadcast via live stream during the past five years, who do you think had the best percentage of success?
Well somewhat unsurprisingly, the renowned lethal finisher
James Wade was the most successful. 'The Machine' hit the bullseye in 33.3% of his attempts. That puts him narrowly ahead of
Gerwyn Price (33%) and
Ross Smith (29.5%).
Wade has been known for years to have an excellent percentage on his doubles, although mainly on his beloved double 20 and double 10. Although he has not been doing so well in recent years, the multiple major winner has dropped to 19th place in the world rankings.
Still in this list of most accurate bullseye throwers we find
Dave Chisnall in fourth with 29.4% and
Michael van Gerwen rounding out the top-5 with 28.5%.
