Despite two fresh opportunities, the 13th and 14th European Tour Qualifiers produced no new PDC Tour Card holders who have managed to qualify for a European Tour event for the first time. As a result, the list of players who, since earning their PDC Tour Card, are still waiting for their debut on the European stage remains unchanged.

The best chances this time fell to Scots Greg Ritchie and David Sharp. Both reached the final of European Tour Qualifier 13 and 14 respectively, leaving them just one win away from a coveted spot.
In both cases, however, it slipped away in the deciding match, meaning a first qualification for a European Tour event once again eluded them.
For Greg Ritchie, this means that even in his second season as a PDC Tour Card holder he is still waiting for his first European Tour appearance. The Scot, together with Englishman Tavis Dudeney and Belgian Stefaan Henderyck, is part of the small group now in their second year on the PDC circuit who have yet to book a European Tour spot.
In addition, there are four players currently in their first season with a PDC Tour Card who are also still waiting for their first success in a European Tour Qualifier. They are Scot David Sharp, Irishmen Niall Culleton and Stephen Rosney, and Pole Filip Bereza. Although they will have plenty more chances during the remaining qualifiers this season, they have not yet managed to secure a place at a European Tour event.
The European Tour is a key pillar of the PDC circuit for many players. Not only are there valuable prize funds and ranking points on offer, but participation also provides the chance to gain experience on big stages before an international audience. That is precisely why, for many new Tour Card holders, qualifying for at least one European Tour event is a major target.

Last chance

With one qualifier still on the calendar, the seven remaining players will get new opportunities later this season to remove their names from this list. After the setbacks for Greg Ritchie and David Sharp at Qualifiers 13 and 14, however, nothing has changed, and all seven PDC Tour Card holders must continue to wait for their first European Tour appearance.
