The first stage of the
European Q-School has, after three days of intense competition, produced several notable names who have qualified for the decisive final stage. With players from all over Europe, the standard was high, underscored by strong performances from both established names and emerging talents.
One of the standouts on day three was Swiss World Cup player Bruno Stoeckli, who managed to join the sixteen automatic qualifiers of the day. Italian Massimo Dante also enjoyed an excellent tournament and, after three days, finished top of the European
Q-School Order of Merit. His consistent performances earned him first place and make him a serious contender for a PDC Tour Card.
Mason Whitlock, son of Australian darts legend Simon Whitlock, also made his mark. The young Whitlock finished fourth in the rankings and thereby booked his place in the final stage in convincing fashion. Alongside him, Brian Raman (Belgium), Liam Maendl-Lawrance (Germany), and Jose Justicia (Spain) also secured a spot in the next round of the qualifying tournament.
The final stage, taking place from 01/08/2026 to 01/11/2026, is crucial for all remaining players. During these days, the coveted PDC Tour Cards will be allocated. Each matchday, the last two remaining players at the European
Q-School automatically receive a PDC Tour Card. The remaining cards are awarded based on the final standings of the European Q-School Order of Merit.
In the event of a tie on points, the rankings are determined using clear criteria. First, leg difference is considered, then the number of legs won, and finally the DartConnect average, calculated across all matches played in the relevant phase of the tournament.
In addition to the aforementioned qualifiers, several big names will also appear in the final stage. Sweden’s
Andreas Harrysson is in the field, as is José de Sousa, the 2020 Grand Slam of Darts champion.
Jelle Klaasen, a 2016 World Championship semi-finalist, also hopes to use
Q-School to find his way back to the professional circuit.
