The second round continues at the International Darts Open with Lewy Williams and Danny Noppert through to the final day in Riesa.
Williams claimed a 96 checkout in the decider to see off Krzysztof Ratajski 6-5 surviving a late comeback from 'The Polish Eagle' who was grounded by 'The Prince of Wales'.
It was a commanding lead to start the tie for Williams who went 4-1 up with a 121 checkout and this was extended to 5-2 by the Welsh ace who went one away.
But back came Ratajski who held throw to make it 5-3 and then took out 124 to break before holding to send it all the way before Williams halted the fightback.
While for Noppert made his return to action with a win seeing off Mervyn King 6-3 albeit surviving a late comeback himself.
The Dutchman had not played this season due to becoming a father for the first time but showed no signs of rust storming into a 5-1 lead.
Only to be broken when the finishing line came into view before King made it 5-3 with only a break needed to head towards levelling up.
But despite initially missed match darts, he returned finally for double two with King unable to produce 82 and he is now through to the final day.
