James Wilson has made an immediate return to the PDC Tour after seeing off Cameron Menzies in the final on Day One of UK Q-School in Milton Keynes.
Menzies' wait for a PDC Tour Card continues but he has a good points haul already which means a Tour Card at least through the Order of Merit barring a poor next few days is likely a formality.
But for Wilson, the former top 32 star, he will look to reverse a period in the darting doldrums of sorts after seeing off George Killington (6-5 - 170 checkout in the decider), Kevin Burness (6-5), Gary Blades (6-2), Shaun Wilkinson (6-3), Lewis Dare (6-0) and Shaun Griffiths (6-1).
It was a clinical display on the finishing from 'Jammy Dodger' who hit a 134 to break to go 5-1 up where he had the throw claiming it with a 66 checkout with Menzies on 72.
He joins Jose Justicia in returning to the PDC Tour who won at European Q-School earlier today.
