Daryl Gurney is out at the Players Championship Finals in Minehead. Luke Woodhouse caused an upset by beating the defending champion after a leg-decider.
Woodhouse survived two match-darts in the ninth leg, before leveled the match with a 15-darter in leg ten. Woody then took out 71 to claim the win in the leg-decider.
Michael van Gerwen survived a scare against Luke Humphries as
Cool Hand Luke came back to 4-3 after a 4-0 deficit. Humphries even missed two darts to make 4-4, before Van Gerwen took a 6-3 win in the ninth leg with a 95 checkout.
Adrian Lewis reached the second round after beating Josh Payne. Jackpot was 1-4 down after five legs, before the claimed five legs on the spin. William O'Connor beat Steve West 6-4.
