Woodhouse spoke afterwards and said that in terms of his mindset going into this tournament and the task that potentially that is to come is that he will be taking it one game at a time.
He also spoke about the reception of playing a legend in Paul Lim and that he admitted that it wasn't as one sided as he expected.
"I've had so many messages on my phone, people calling how do I feel, am I excited. I feel the gods honest truth, I try and take everything I do as just another game of darts. It's massive, it's the biggest tournament in the World," said Woodhouse to LiveDarts.
"I'm just thinking if I go on and make it something bigger than it's meant to be then the occasion might get to me. I try to keep myself as level headed as possible but Paul Lim is a legend of the game."
"I think it was almost like playing a seed because all the crowd would have wanted Paul (Lim) to win but like I said before, I imagine the crowd to be a lot more with him than they were.'
