Peter Wright has cruised to victory over the already eliminated Glen Durrant who is now up to eight straight defeats in this year's
Premier League Darts.
Wright eased to a 7-1 win with a high checkout of 156 to return to winning ways and this meant that Rob Cross who was hoping for a Peter Wright defeat has now bowed out for a second straight year.
Wright claimed an early break to begin the tie and made it three legs in a row consolidating with a hold after Durrant missed the chance at an 88 checkout.
Durrant took out 121 on the bull to get a leg on the board in a potential spark. But this proved a mere consolation in terms of the match as Wright surged into a 5-1 lead with Durrant averaging only 79.
Wright produced more brilliance with a 156 checkout to make it 6-1 and he got over the line from there.
