The first round has began at Players Championship 6 with Peter Wright out in the first round for the second day running losing out to Steve West averaging just 81.
With Gerwyn Price withdrawing this weekend, the World Number One was also a doubt due to injury concerns and was even mooted to not be playing during the Premier League coverage on Thursday.
But he turned up to no avail with two early exits as he now heads to Rotterdam battling form and injury woes.
Other results include yesterday's champion, Damon Heta continuing his incredible form. He averaged 112 in seeing off Luc Peters 6-0.
Michael Smith hit 104 in seeing off Jack Main 6-2, Rob Cross, Jonny Clayton and Dirk van Duijvenbode are also through.
But Dimitri van den Bergh is out with 'The Dreammaker' falling to Kevin Burness 6-3 after a run to the semi-final yesterday.
As well as no Price, Michael van Gerwen is also not involved today with the World Number Three losing early to eventual finalist, Gary Anderson yesterday after his form revival was curtailed by Gerwyn Price in Nottingham.
