Peter Wright is confident heading into the Premier League play-offs on Thursday night at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Wright will be joined by Glen Durrant, Nathan Aspinall and Gary Anderson in the hunt for the title and believes that his form this year warrants his tag as the favourite despite his seven missed match darts in 2017 which he is looking to put right this time.
"The form I'm in I think I should be favourite, to be fair," said a confident Wright.
"I feel really good and I haven't got to play the best two best players in the world at the moment, in my opinion, in Michael [van Gerwen] and Gerwyn [Price].
"No disrespect to the other guys but I'm lucky those two aren't in it. I'm looking forward to getting out there and picking up the trophy.
"I said from the start 'if I qualify I'll win it'. I said the same about reaching the World Championship final.
"I've made mistakes in the past in these big finals but I showed in the World Championship final I've learned from my mistakes, so I won't be missing seven darts for the title this time!"
