Wright into first ranking semi-final in seven months after dethroning Humphries, set to face Heta at Czech Darts Open

The semi-finals are now set at the Czech Darts Open with the first tie of Rob Cross - Dave Chisnall joined by Peter Wright against Damon Heta in Prague with the battle of the walk-ons set to ensue with 'The Heat' joining 'Snakebite' as one to watch in recent months.

For Wright, it was a superb display to see off top seed and defending champion at that in Luke Humphries 6-3. It is a first ranking semi-final since October of last year for 'Snakebite'.

He sealed it with a 97.8 average and a high checkout of 156 in one of his best displays in some time.

But instead of Jonny Clayton, it will be Heta as 'The Heat' dodged the 'The Ferret' seeing him off 6-5 but only after surviving two match darts in the deciding leg before getting over the line to seal it 6-5.
