Peter Wright eased past Damon Heta in the opening round of the NZ Darts Masters but despite that, he used a new set of darts once again.

Wright said that with using a new set, he always believes in his ability to win no matter which set he uses and that he isn't playing his best as he isn't being pushed enough.

'I wasn't playing Damon (Heta), I was just playing myself. I obviously believed in my ability to beat anyone, not just Damon anyone I played,' said Wright.

'I think so, someone's got to be hitting those 180's and 140's to make me concentrate, relax and focus. You may see the best of me then.'
