Wright on which darts he will use at World Matchplay: "We have a few days left to experiment and see what that yields"

Peter Wright is well known for tinkering and not sticking to a set of darts and during the last day of the PDC Summer Series, he opted for new darts and he explained his reasoning for this.

"I had brought a new set to Milton Keynes. I could have used it on the first day, but I decided to wait until the last day," said Wright in conversation with the PDC.

With those new arrows he reached the semi-finals, but in that semi-final he suddenly used other darts. "I knew I wouldn't throw that set on TV that well, so I used my old darts again for the semifinals and finals."

By 'old darts' Wright means the set that he used to win World Championship for the first time and the Masters. He is not yet 100% in terms of what he will use for the World Matchplay.

"I don't know yet," he laughs. "We have a few days left to experiment and see what that yields."
