Wright puts 8-1 win over Van Gerwen as number one memory in Premier League Darts

While Peter Wright has some not so brilliant memories against Michael Van Gerwen in the Premier League namely the near miss in the final, one other match stands out.

That is Wright’s 8-1 win over Van Gerwen last year in an incredible display which ‘Snakebite’ admitted is his top memory in the tournament.

“My number one memory in the Premier League is beating MVG, the World Number One 8-1,” said Wright.

“I knew I was in a good place, I was playing well. I was happy with my darts so I know he had a tough job on his hands.”

“If you’ve won against the World Number One who’s won everything, that’s pretty cool.”
