Peter Wright came through two games on Saturday seeing off Adrian Lewis and Damon Heta in two narrow wins and he echoed comments from Michael van Gerwen, his next opponent about the
Players Championship Finals in Minehead and the conditions in play.
"I haven't played pretty in both of them, but it's just about dealing with the atmosphere out there, the winds and the cold. Never mind about playing the player, you've got to deal with all that and I done okay, it warmed up actually," said Wright post match.
He was also booed by the crowd in attendance in Minehead which Wright admitted didn't bother him in the slightest.
"I expected it. I've been booed plenty of times, I've been to Rotterdam with 10,000 people booing me when I'm going for a double so I can deal with it. It's just a part of darts."
The same can be said for comments made about Adrian Lewis after their heated confrontation with Wright saying he doesn't check social media so he doesn't care.
"I'm not bothered about Adrian and the comments. People if they want to put stupid messages on there, put stupid messages. It doesn't bother me because I don't go on it, I just go on to play my game and plod on."
