Wright secures second spot in Premier League after beating Smith

Peter Wright closed his league phase of the Premier League Darts in Milton Keynes with an 8-5 win over Michael Smith.

With this win, Wright takes the second place from Gary Anderson and will avoid Glen Durrant in the semi-finals of the play-offs. Smith finishes seventh in the 2020 Premier League Darts.

Wright was heading for a big win, but saw Smith suddenly get going after trailing 7-2. With three legs won, Bullyboy nibbled some of his deficit. Then Wright finished the match with a 13-darter in leg 13.
