Nathan Aspinall will participate in the play-offs in his debut (full) season in the Premier League Darts. The Asp defeated Glen Durrant on Night 16 with 8-2.
Aspinall had enough with one point to keep Gerwyn Price definitively behind him in the rankings. With this convincing victory, the Englishman even finished third in the rankings, as he passed Gary Anderson.
The former UK Open champion scored an average of over 101, took out 170 and achieved a strong finish percentage of 61 percent. The Stockport ace shot off the starting blocks with a 3-0 lead and a little later ran out to 6-1. Durrant took one more leg, before his fellow countryman finished nicely with a 124 finish and a 17-darter.
Aspinall will face Peter Wright in the semi-finals of the play-offs. Anderson takes on Durrant on October 22.
