The final has been confirmed at Players Championship 20 and it sees Peter Wright, yesterday's winner take on Joe Cullen who has reached his first in two years.
Wright has been imperious for the past two days and that has continued with 'Snakebite' set for potentially a third title in five days after also claiming the German Darts Masters on Saturday.
He saw off Adrian Gray in his semi-final in a 7-2 win. It was a fifth consecutive 100+ average for Wright against 'The Conqueror' who was having his best run in 7 years.
It wasn't to be for the Hastings thrower though and Wright is through and he will be the favourite to claim the £10,000. Cullen will have something to say about that though; with 'The Rockstar' playing brilliantly also all day.
He had to survive a late revival against Adrian Lewis who added two legs when it looked like he was about to get whitewashed; but he got over the line to secure a brilliant win.
Cullen has not had the best time of it to start 2019; so will see this as a major turning point no matter what ahead of the World Matchplay where he performed so well last year but was cruelly denied.
