Peter Wright has began the 21st Players Championship tournament of the season where he left off at the World Matchplay with a 6-3 win over Raymond van Barneveld to continue his winning streak.
Wright of course recently won at the Winter Gardens and also to end the last set of Super Series tournament and saw off Van Barneveld for his 13th win in a row.
He broke with a 116 checkout to begin the tie after Van Barneveld missed three chances to take the opening leg. The Dutchman was unable to recover and with a 16-darter, he took the win with a second break of throw.
