Luke Littler, the sensational young Englishman who has rocked the darts world for the past year and a half, is experiencing an unexpected challenge off the dartboard: the theory exam for his driver's license.
The 18-year-old talent from Warrington enjoyed an impressive string of successes. The youngest ever world champion, he captured the title in January and earned an MBE (Member of the British Empire, a royal award). With no fewer than 13 PDC titles, two World Series of Darts victories and five major titles to his name, Littler established himself as one of the most notable names in the sport. He was also the youngest player to throw a legendary nine-darter on television.
Thanks to his sporting triumphs and lucrative sponsorship deals, he now owns an estimated net worth of more than 2 million pounds. As such, Littler is one of the UK's most popular athletes.
Still, he does not fare easily everywhere. Last weekend he suffered a disappointment alongside Luke Humphries at the World Cup of Darts, where the English duo lost immediately in the opening match against Germany.
But things don't always run smoothly aside from darts, either. During their joint appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox friend and streamer Morgan Burtwistle, better known as AngryGinge, lovingly mocked his "problem": failing his theory exam.

“You can do all this, but you can’t pass your driving theory." jokes AngryGinge, to the hilarity of Luke himself.
Littler previously indicated that he planned to take driving lessons as soon as he turned 17, but busy tournament schedules and even vandalism to his van made it difficult for him to get behind the wheel. His dream car? A Mercedes A-Class, a major upgrade from his previous Ford Focus.
So despite his worldwide successes, Littler will have to wait a little longer before he can also conquer the roads of England.
