Reigning champion Zong won a number of PDC Asian Tour titles in Mongolia last month and he maintained his good form, losing just five legs all evening.
The format of the PDC China Premier League was changed to the model of the Cazoo Premier League Darts last year, with eight players competing against each other over the seven playing days of the regular phase. At the end of the seventh night, the top four players in the rankings will advance to the playoffs and the winner will qualify for the PDC World Championship.
The PDC China Premier League continues on Tuesday, July 11. Zong and Lihao Wen will also be in action next week at the World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt.
