William O’Connor claimed his first PDC ranking title on Tuesday and alongside that achieved another feat.
O’Connor became the first Irishman to win a Players Championship title and the 66th different player to win one.
The likes of Mickey Mansell and Daryl Gurney don’t count in that as they are from Northern Ireland so ‘The Magpie’ will always have that record.

I was there when he (luckily) won the 96 World Championship, I expected him to win and perfom better in the PDC than he did as he moved over so early when he still had good form. Looks great for 60, today's players should take note !! Sure he was a driving instructor when in the BDO.
