Fair play to Dimitry. It's a long time since he's been in that position and it might be a long time before he reaches another major final. It was only reasonable for him to do what he felt he needed to do.05-03-2024 12:49

But you can't really say the places should have gone to the next in the rankings and then complain that the places went to the next in the rankings.15-03-2022 22:34

Sherrock and Clements were the next two in the rankings, so I'm not sure what your point is.13-03-2022 18:56

It comes down to pure logistics. It's easier and and cheaper for people to travel to somewhere closer than it is for them to travel somewhere far away. It's easier to have events happening simultaneously than one massive event. Can you imagine trying to persuade 650 players to travel somewhere more central for everyone (Paris for example)? How many days would they have to play for? How much time would people have to take off work? How much would it cost to travel from Newcastle or Dusseldorf?13-01-2022 01:35

It's simple. Sherrock gets views. Look at Matthew Edgar's YouTube channel. He understands this. That is why he has several videos that have a pic of Sherrock in the thumbnail even though she is not mentioned even once in the video. Sherrock has become the darts equivalent of clickbait. People who like her click on everything with her name on it and people who don't like her also click on everything with her name on it. Content producers know this and are using it to their advantage.13-01-2022 01:27

She has been very unlucky. Twice she has lost matches with a 90+ averages while there are others who already have enough points to qualify without having played anywhere near that standard.10-01-2022 20:41

The quality of proofreading on this site has been so poor recently that I am beginning to suspect that there isn't actually any proofreading being done.26-12-2021 22:23
