Raymond van Barneveld will be able to play in the first of two Players Championship events which begin today (Tuesday) in Barnsley despite his luggage being lost, it has been revealed.
Van Barneveld took to Twitter on Monday to reveal that his luggage had been left in Amsterdam by EasyJet; so he had no darts, no trousers and no shirt to play in during the double header and he would only receive everything back at noon on Tuesday.
‘Barney’ though followed that up by saying it had been sorted with the same shirt and darts being bought for him and him borrowing trousers off another player. This means we will see the Dutchman make his first appearance in a while on the ProTour this year.
I am in shock !! Been at Manchester airport for hours because @easyJet just happen to leave my suitcase in Amsterdam. So no darts, no pants no shirt no nothing to play tomorrow. No clue what to do as my suitcase will not arrive before noon tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/KzZ0T7frp2

It looks like I can play today. Someone brought me the same darts and shirt. I borrowed pants from another player and @easyJet is doing everything they can to get my suitcase at my hotel today. So thanks Twitter for helping out. Darts bring people together 😘
