The best finishes of this year’s World Matchplay have been compiled with a lot of big checkouts hit during the second biggest tournament on the PDC calendar in Blackpool.
Two players hit the 170 finish also known as the ‘Big Fish’ in the form of Peter Wright and Rob Cross. Wright hit it during his tie against Simon Whitlock but Cross hit it later in the tournament against Simon Whitlock.
‘Snakebite’ impressed on the checkouts during the tournament though hitting a 164 checkout as well as 120 and 124 showing his form as of late. Michael van Gerwen also hit a brilliant 134 checkout against Glen Durrant, a tie he went on to lose 13-11.
A 160 checkout was thrown twice by Gary Anderson and Krzysztof Ratajski with other big finishes including a 148 from Keegan Brown, a 147 from Michael Smith and a 141 by James Wade.
