With the World Seniors on the horizon in early next year,
Martin Adams is of course confirmed for the next iteration of the World Championship and is looking forward to returning to the Circus Tavern for another year.
"I'm looking forward to it, it's going to be really good. Last year was just immense and this year is going to be no different," said Adams to Online Darts.
But in terms of his WDF career, it is very much over as far as he is concerned with no desire to chase ranking money anymore.
"The mindset is sat on the MODUS Super Series plus the World Seniors, all this chasing around for ranking points (WDF) I think I'm all done with that now and the game itself, I practice as much as I can whenever I can but I can't do too much because the body won't let me. You keep trying and keep plugging, it's not going too bad."
"I said to my partner, I'm not doing to do it at all this year. I'll see how I feel and I'm quite comfortable doing what I'm doing."
With the latest announcement of the World Masters, it has been mooted that it will switch to leg play instead of sets which 'Wolfie' would disagree with.
"It's part of the history of the World Masters, it's something that I would miss if it just went to legs.
But while the World Masters is confirmed, the WDF World Championship is not and Adams said if he was playing, he'd be trying to find out more for multiple reasons.
"I would be very concerned. I would be trying to phone whoever I could within the World Darts Federation trying to find out what's going on. You have to make plans, if they go back to January there's family things to sort out. You want to know when it's going to start. I'd be very disappointed."
